Week 2 of Project 365

Week Two of Project 365...a little behind on posting!

 Day 8: A gorgeous clear chilly day in SF. Now that the holidays are over the outdoor ice rinks are being dismantled.

Day 9: Chocolate Lava Cake from Trader Joe's for dessert. Delicious!

Day 10: Not a huge fan of the composition of this one. But I love the colors and the bird that randomly appeared.

Day 11: It has been a long and difficult few months at work but Sophie can always put a smile on her face. I was working on my computer and when I looked up she was fast asleep like that.

Day 12: Went to the yearly Pet Expo in our area. Watched dock diving, schutzund demos and agility demos.Had to walk away from the rescue section as I saw a few dogs described as having great temperaments and being energetic...I could have happily taken them home.

Only photo with DSLR this weekend. Didn't edit it yet. I am learning to use my non auto focusing 50mm so the picture is not as sharp as I would like.

Day 13: Our flyball team...like any organized sports with a big group of participants has its share of drama...but I love that we can for the most part most it all aside and come together to celebrate. Our club's first junior handler celebrated his 10th birthday last week. We had a team dinner before practice on Sunday to celebrate.

Week recap including photos from Project 365

We returned to obedience class after a six month hiatus. She did well and was eager to work. We have some work to do on our left hand finishes. But I was very happy with how focused she was and how relaxed she was in a class with new dogs. Even did her long sit and down stays in a line with other dogs.

Now my photos from Project 365 for the week. I used my iphone all week except today. Hoping to use my Dslr more often in the coming weeks.

Day 1: My sister and brother in law live far away but we make sure to keep in touch

Day 2: I am a caffeine addict. My friends are well aware of this so they give me awesome present like this tumbler for Christmas.

Day 3: My goddaughter ie munchkin. 15 months and quite the character!

Day 4: Dinner and drinks with a good friend after a long work week.

Day 5: Picking up extra hours doing contract work for a former supervisor. Makes for a long work week but thankful for the chance to earn some more money.

Day 6 Only photo of the week with my Dslr. Trying to learn to use my 50mm lens. It doesn't autofocus with my camera so it is taking me awhile.

Project 365

In addition to my great love of dogs and dog activities, I really enjoy photography. I am not great at it but enjoy it and am trying to learn more. So to that end, I think I am going to try out Project 365 - photo a day and add it to my blog (lets be honest a lot of the pictures will probably end up being Sophie related anyways lol). Thanks to Click It Up A Notch for the idea.

I know I won't always be able to use my dslr but the iphone camera is pretty nifty and I always have my phone with me so at the very least I can use it. My goal is to get at least one photo a week with my dslr and to blog once a week on Sundays with my week worth of photos.
